✒ My close designer friend Mirko Vukasovic approached me to ask if I could assist him in a freelance project he had. His client was Magellania, a bespoke wilderness expedition brand in southern Chile. They specialise in unique package tours around some of Patagonia's incredible landscape and wildlife, and needed two brochures created; one for a Puma-spotting expedition, and another for their flagship tour around the Magellan Strait and further.
I worked together with Mirko to create an expressive and eloquent Tone of Voice and writing style for the brand, aimed towards their audience of affluent adventure-seekers. A big challenge for this project was to maintain the sense of wonder and adventure throughout a very packed itinerary, without resorting to repetition or rote. This was especially tough for the flagship Depths of Patagonia brochure, a 10-day-long trek which also included the Puma-spotting expedition as standard.
In the end, we not only delivered the two brochures, but were able to produce a website and a simple brand identity deck for this client to use in their future marketing, leaving them very happy with the work done.
