✒ The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) is the U.S. advertising industry's oldest and largest trade association. It was established to promote cooperative relationships between regional and national advertising industries, manufacturers and dealers, and advertisers and agencies.
In 2021, the ANA faced a challenge that many across the world were also facing: how to adjust their annual offering to a world that was still locked behind doors. For the ANA, this would be their first entirely virtual awards show, and so they turned to us to help them find the positives.
I was on the team that created a campaign around the idea that, while the format of their show had changed, the creativity behind the submissions remained the same. Together with Art Director Mirko Vukasovic Morrison we explored, with tongue-in-cheek language and bold visuals, the similarities between remote and office work, showing some common bugbears designed to bring a smile to the faces of the creatives, designers, copywriters, and agency folk who see them.
This campaign ran from start to finish, through marketing the awards show to DM communication to drive sign-ups, all the way to award wins and winner's galleries.
